Item 037. Black 1920s dress in a distressed state.
This is a genuine 1920s dress, but in a sadly distressed state. It's made of chiffon and lace and was presumably a flapper overdress in its heyday. The design is lovely, but the lace is very delicate and ragged, with some quite big holes (although the chiffon's not bad). It would be well beyond my skills to mend, but perhaps you are up to it, or perhaps you just want to own a bit of history? Alternatively, it could be used as a pattern. Size: about 14. I'm 12--14 and it fits me comfortably. You could wear it if you don't mind clothes with sizeable holes in!
