Item 036. BEING SOLD. Black ribbon-lace evening coat.
A long ribbon-lace evening coat. It is 1960s or earlier, but is in good condition. The ribbon lace, which appears to be a copy of a Victorian design (I don't think it is original) is pretty much immaculate. Satin-lined collar. The lining has a few small holes, which don't show. Certainly some of it (all?) is hand-made. It has a superb front fastening (see picture) but is probably meant to be worn open. I'd say size 8--14 could wear it. Length 54 inches.
