Item 035. Fairytale 1920s/30s lace/chiffon dress.
Absolute fairytale of a dress! This 1920s/1930s dream of design is in black cobweb lace and chiffon, with the most breathtaking sleeves (see picture). The design on the lace is flowers and leaves. There seems to be no damage, despite the age; but clearly this is delicate fabric and will have to be treated with care. I think it could be worn, but it would also make a lovely display item. Width armpit to armpit laid flat 16 inches; at waist about 15 inches. Length about 52 inches.
