Item 029. 1920s robust heavily beaded black dress.
1920s very heavily beaded black dress. This is not the usual delicate chiffon `flapper' dress, but a sturdy heavy crepe-type fabric with masses of beading: lines of vertical beading from top to below waist; then four trailing swags of flower motifs around the bottom. A sort of shift dress. Approximate measurements: bust: 44"; waist: 46"; hips: 48"; length 49". Size 8--14 could wear it perhaps belted, but I think it would look better on a larger size. Some of the beads have come away, but this is in very good condition for its age, and is entirely wearable (not fragile/delicate). If you want special delvery, add £3.
