Item 013. Gold/black sequinned top, possibly old.
A gold/black sequinned top, possibly old. This was sold to me as 1920s, but I think I must have been particularly gullible that day, as I'd be surprised if it's older than 1970s. However, it is a very pretty top. It appears to be black chiffon, fully lined with a shiny fabric (viscose?), and decorated with a most unusual asymmetric design in gold sequins and bugle beads, down to a pointy/scalloped hem. Some of the beads have come off, so do not buy if you want a `perfect' garment. Batwing sleeves, so it would probably fit a range of sizes, 10--14 (roughly: bust around 38 inches, waist around 34 inches, length 21 inches).
